Statistics

 September 28 Tuesday

First period was by Ancy Mam today ma'am started statistics.

Statistics

It is a branch of mathematics that deals with the collection, organisation , presentation , computation and interpretation of data which are the outcome of learning.

There are two general types of statistical analysis and they are descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.

Descriptive statistics uses methods to summarise a collection of data by describing what was observed using numbers of graphs.

Inferential statistics is also called as predictive statistics uses methods to draw patterns in the collected data and then makes conclusions predictions of forecast about a group or about a process being studied.

The importance of statistics is that it play a vital role in researches for example statistics can be used as data collection and analysis interpretation, explanation and presentation usage statistics will guide researches in research for proper characterization coma summarisation, presentation and interpretation of the result of research statistics provides a platform for research as to how to go about your research area to construct sample of the whole population the techniques to use in data collection and observation how to go about their description etc.

On the next period Giby ma'am discussed about motivation. Ma'am explain the motivation in relation with Newton's laws of motion. Defined the performance as a function of motivation ability and environment. Motivation is defined as a legitimate towards ones goal to accomplish the task for the process of arousing and sustaining goal-directed behaviour. The major components in motivation are needs drives and incentives. Then ma'am discussed about motivation cycle with neat drive goal-directed behaviour task and need reduction. Can we discussed about Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

On the last period George sir discussed about tournaments.
