Fifth week at Kanyakulangara school

 January 31 Monday 

On today's class I interacted with students of 9C on Whatsapp platform from 8:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. today we discussed a topic on the chapter current electricity with the help of ICT, video and images. today asha a teacher told me to tell the students regarding misuse of mobile phones and avoidance of necessary WhatsApp status so I had a short talk regarding the topic I hope it was really effective. By today I collected all the answer sheets of achievement test and shared them with students. I congratulated those who came at top and motivated those who are going to shine another day. now I have to prepare score sheet and statistical analysis of the data obtained from achievement test and I have to conduct a diagnostic test and remedial teaching based on that.

February 2 Wednesday

Today second of February I conducted an online class for 8A and 8F Malayalam medium students. today we started a new chapter fibres and plastics the class was from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. on WhatsApp platforms a total of 29 students joined the class. from 8 to 9:00 p.m. I arranged a class for 9C on the topic current electricity. for delivering in the concept properly I used somr teaching aids like presentation, images . some short questions answers where also included in the class for ensuring people participation for understanding the comprehension level of students I provided them an activity to list various polymers. on the next day I am having no classes at all my next class is on Friday.

February 4 Friday

On today I was having an online session for standard 8 English medium on the subject chemistry from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Google meet platform. The link for the meeting was https://meet.google.com/aqp-tozv-rhj.              Today we discussed about characteristics and classification of plastics. for distinguishing between thermoplastic and thermosetting plastic I showed real examples of PVC pipe and bakelite switchboard. using jam board I gave them proper definition. using simulation explained the structure of thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics. the classroom Google meet contained 37 students and asking some questions to them I understood that they became familiar with the concepts. tomorrow is Saturday but I have some more portions to complete I scheduled  online class for 8th standard and 9th standard students on 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. respectively.

February 5 Saturday

Today evening I conducted online class for 8th standard English medium from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. today we discussed about the topic pollution due to plastic from 7:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. I conducted physics class for 9C on the topic tools of electric current. the class for 8th standard was on Google meet . to make them aware about harmful effects of plastic I used  presentation, images and videos. for 9th standard students I used the images and presentation. by today's class I finished all the chapters of 8th standard and first chapter of 9th class. for 9th class I have to finish one more chapter I scheduled a day class for 9th standard on tomorrow. I have to conduct a diagnostic test for 8th standard students on the topic components of water. also I have to conduct a test paper for them on fibres and plastics.

February 6 Sunday 

Today I arranged in online class for students of 9C. today we begin the new chapter in physics wave motion. I employed concept attainment model for my children to attain the concept of wavemotion. class was from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to attain the concept I used  some positive and negative examples. in addition I also shown self prepared videos of a paper boat in water and thermocol peace in water. with the help of simulations I made the concept much more  also clear.I prepared the detailed note on the full chapter motion including some problems. on the next class I have to discuss about transverse and longitudinal waves. I prepared teaching aids for that.  a student from 8th standard asked me to teach the chapter water briefly for her as she was absent the class due to some health issues . I feel very proud that she felt free to ask me that support.
